I really enjoyed this article, except for the fact that it’s examples were based on Debian.  Useful nonetheless.

    I used to be a trainer and a sysadmin before becoming a pre-sales geek and usually after I had horked up something on a computer I would mutter “Oh, nice one, Monkeyboy” or something with a little more profanity in it.

    After one of my classes a student wrote up a “what I did with my summer vacation or last week in training” sort of justification email to his boss and copied all my superiors with it (a very positive and glowing report, btw) wherein he referred to me as “The Linux Monkeyboy”, so it stuck.

    That was about 15 years ago.
